How to Play Neon Drift and Improve Your Score

1. Start a run and choose a control method

• Keyboard: Left/Right Arrow keys or A/D.
• Pointer or touch: press or drag across the game canvas to place the car horizontally.
• On-screen controls: hold the Left or Right steering button during an active run.
• The cockpit canvas is keyboard-focusable and announces run status through visible and screen-reader status text.

2. Understand the 30-second goal and score

The score grows at 100 points per second of elapsed survival time. The course becomes more demanding as the run continues because obstacle motion scales with elapsed time.

Survive the full 30 seconds and the game adds a 500-point completion bonus. The displayed score is the current run result; the site does not claim a public leaderboard or server-stored best score.

3. Read the road instead of chasing the car

• Watch the upper-middle course where barriers appear, not only the player car at the bottom.
• Make small steering corrections early. Large late moves are harder to recover from.
• Release a keyboard key or touch control as soon as the car enters the safe lane.
• Difficulty rises through the run, so protect open space instead of weaving for visual style.

4. Collision, stop, and restart behavior

Clipping a luminous barrier ends the run immediately and keeps the score reached at collision. Stop Run ends the run intentionally. After either state, Restart Run resets the car, obstacles, timer, and score to begin again.

A completed run also returns the cockpit to a restart-ready state. There is no paid entry, prize, contest, or active giveaway attached to the current game.

5. Copy and share a result truthfully

Copy Score becomes available after points have been earned. It copies a short result message and the Cosmic Throttle play URL. The status region confirms success; if clipboard access fails, the game tells you to take a screenshot instead.

Sharing is optional. Scores stay a personal challenge unless a future official event is announced with separate dates, eligibility, prize details, and rules.
